Ride
Group
Ride is a British rock band formed in Oxford in 1988. They are considered pioneers of the "shoegaze" music scene, combining elements of alternative rock, dream pop, and psychedelic music. They initially consisted of Andy Bell (guitar, vocals), Mark Gardener (vocals, guitar), Steve Queralt (bass), and Laurence "Loz" Colbert (drums). Their debut album, "Nowhere," released in 1990, received widespread acclaim and significant success. The band disbanded in 1996 but reunited in 2014 and continues to produce music and perform concerts. Their influence on subsequent generations of artists is evident, and Ride continues to maintain a dedicated fan base worldwide.
