Parálisis Permanente

Parálisis Permanente

Group
Parálisis Permanente was a Spanish post-punk/gothic rock band, which was formed in 1981 in Madrid. The band, pioneering for its time, was influenced by the British and European post-punk scene, and is considered a key representative of the "La Movida Madrileña" movement in the 1980s. With themes exploring darkness, death, and social alienation, Parálisis Permanente gained a reputation for their powerful and provocative live shows. Among their most well-known works are the album "El acto" and tracks like "Autosuficiencia." The band disbanded in 1983, following the tragic death of their leading member, Eduardo Benavente, in a car accident. Nevertheless, they maintain a unique role in the history of Spanish rock music.
