Modest Mouse is an American rock band that was formed in 1992 in Issaquah, Washington, and later relocated to Portland, Oregon. The band was founded by singer-guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy. They gained popularity with their unique sound that combines elements of alternative rock, indie, and post-punk. Their first recognized album, "The Lonesome Crowded West" (1997), is considered one of the most significant albums of the '90s. In 2004, they released "Good News for People Who Love Bad News," which included the single "Float On," bringing them widespread recognition. Throughout their career, Modest Mouse has released many albums and continues to have an influence on the music scene.
