Keane is a British band formed in 1995 in Sussex. Their music combines elements of rock and pop, with an emphasis on melodies and the use of piano in their orchestration, which sets them apart from typical guitar-centered bands. They became widely known with their debut album "Hopes and Fears" in 2004, which includes major hits like "Somewhere Only We Know" and "Everybody's Changing". The band consists of singer Tom Chaplin, pianist Tim Rice-Oxley, bassist Richard Hughes, and drummer Jesse Quin. Their music is appreciated for its emotionally charged pieces and sensitivity.
