Hanoi Rocks
Group
Hanoi Rocks was a Finnish rock band formed in 1979 in Helsinki. They are considered pioneers of glam punk and glam metal, significantly influencing the rock scene of the 1980s. Initially, the band consisted of singer Michael Monroe and guitarist Andy McCoy. The band achieved international success with albums such as "Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks" and "Two Steps from the Move." The death of drummer Razzle in a car accident in 1984 halted their upward trajectory, eventually leading to their breakup in 1985. They reunited in 2001 and continued to release music until 2009, when they disbanded permanently. Despite its short duration, their career left a mark on rock music.
