After his departure from Deep Purple, the singer Ian Gillan will spearhead and lead the band Gillan, which will release six albums between the years 1978 and 1982. Gillan will play hard rock, and their albums "Glory Road" (1980) and "Future Shock" (1981) will stand out. The band did not last long due to differences among its members, as well as Ian Gillan's decision to join Black Sabbath as a singer.
