Gentle Giant

Gentle Giant was a British progressive rock band formed in 1970. They were known for the complexity of their compositions, their intricate harmonies, and the incorporation of elements of classical, jazz, and baroque music. The band was founded by the Shulman brothers, Derek, Ray, and Phil, along with Kerry Minnear, Gary Green, and John Weathers. Despite limited commercial success, Gentle Giant gained a loyal following and are recognized today as one of the most important bands in the progressive rock genre. They disbanded in 1980 after releasing numerous innovative albums.
