Electric Light Orchestra
Group
Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) is a British rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970 by Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, and Bev Bevan. Their music combines elements of classical music with characteristics of rock and pop, creating a unique sound that includes the modern use of string instruments. In their heyday, songs like "Mr. Blue Sky," "Livin' Thing," and "Don't Bring Me Down" established them as one of the most innovative and commercially successful bands of their time. Although there were breaks in their career, Jeff Lynne continued to maintain the band in the later decades, offering renewed creativity and tours.
