D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) is an American band formed in 1982 in Houston, Texas. They are known for combining the styles of hardcore punk and thrash metal, playing a crucial role in shaping the crossover thrash genre. Throughout their career, D.R.I. became known for their energetic and relentless live performances, as well as their hard-hitting and socially oriented lyrics. The band's lineup has changed many times, with the only consistent members being Kurt Brecht (vocals) and Spike Cassidy (guitar). D.R.I. continue to perform concerts and influence new generations of musicians and listeners with their unique sound.
