Caifanes is an iconic Mexican rock band formed in 1987 in Mexico City. Their music combines elements of rock, new wave, and Latin American traditional music, creating a unique sound that influenced the Latin American rock scene. The original lineup included Saúl Hernández (vocals, guitar), Sabo Romo (guitar), Alfonso André (drums), and Salvador Serna (bass). With popular tracks like "La Celula Que Explota" and "Afuera," Caifanes have left an indelible mark on the music industry. After a temporary split in the early 1990s, the band reunited in 2011, continuing their live performances and influence on rock in Spanish.
