David Byrne is an American-Scottish musician and artist, known as the singer, guitarist, and principal songwriter of the band Talking Heads. Born in 1952, Byrne combined rock with avant-garde currents and ethnic influences, making Talking Heads' music particularly influential. As a solo artist, he has explored various musical and artistic fields, including the theater and film scene.
In 1981, Eno and Byrne collaborated on the album "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts," which is considered an innovative work that combines sound samples from different cultures and advanced recording techniques.
