Big Star

Big Star was an American rock band formed in 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. The original lineup included Alex Chilton, Chris Bell, Andy Hummel, and Jody Stephens. Although the band did not achieve significant commercial success during its initial run, Big Star was widely praised by critics and gained cult status over the years. Their first three albums are significant works in the power pop genre. The band's music is characterized by melodies reminiscent of the Beatles and clever compositions, influencing many future bands and artists.
