Arrested Development

Arrested Development is an American hip hop band formed in 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia. The founder of the band is Speech (Todd Thomas), and an important member was singer Dionne Farris. The band emerged in the early 1990s with a unique and pioneering combination of hip hop with elements of soul, funk, and African music. Their debut album "3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of..." was released in 1992 and gained great recognition thanks to successful tracks like "Tennessee" and "People Everyday". Arrested Development is distinguished for their positive and socially conscious music, which carries messages of unity and awakening.
