A Tribe Called Quest
A Tribe Called Quest is an American hip-hop group formed in 1985 in Queens, New York. Consisting of members Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and initially Jarobi White, they are considered one of the major pioneers of alternative hip-hop. Their debut album "People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm" was released in 1990 and laid the foundation for the group's sound, combining jazz, funk, and socially conscious lyrics. Their discography continues to inspire artists and fans, while with the album "The Low End Theory," they further strengthened their reputation as a classic act in the genre. Despite their breakup in 1998, they returned with new work in 2016.
