Flood: (Coming Of A) Great Quantity Of Water by Raining Pleasure
About the album Flood: (Coming Of A) Great Quantity Of Water
In late 2001, Raining Pleasure from Patras, Greece, released their third album, thus inaugurating their collaboration with MINOS EMI Records. The band’s initial intention was to name the album Life As It Comes, but eventually the title Flood: (Coming Of A) Great Quantity Of Water prevailed after a downpour flooded the studio where they were recording (!)
In their third album, Raining Pleasure managed to combine alternative pop, dream pop, synth-pop, and rock elements in their sound. The album’s great success was the single Fake, but Capricorn also stood out, which had given the title to an EP that was released shortly before the launch of the album.
Flood: (Coming Of A) Great Quantity Of Water managed to go gold in Greece with its 18,000 sales.
