Infest by Papa Roach
About the album Infest
Papa Roach from California in their second studio album titled Infest mix rap metal with nu-metal and deliver a dynamite album, with which they managed to achieve success at the start of the first decade of the 21st century.
The recordings of Infest began in late 1999, but the songs Last Resort, Broken Home, Revenge, and Dead Cell were already in existence before and had just undergone minor editing and some lyric changes. The producer of the album was Jay Baumgardner, who specialized in nu-metal bands at that time. A negative critique of Papa Roach and the sound of Infest was that they seemed to have copied Rage Against The Machine.
This was not enough to prevent 4,000,000 Americans from buying Infest, while the album sold an additional 1,000,000 copies in the rest of the world. A significant role in the commercial success of the album was the single Last Resort, which was one of the most listened-to songs of the early 2000s.
