About the album Maggot Brain
The Maggot Brain, released in 1971, is the third album by a group of musicians from New Jersey under the guidance of George Clinton, namely Funkadelic.
The title of Funkadelic's Maggot Brain is nothing other than the nickname of the group's guitarist, Eddie Hazel.
It is a pioneering and experimental album in many respects, as one will hear elements from Hip-Hop to Metal even though these genres of music did not exist yet, not even as terminology. Many artists from completely different genres will later declare the influence that Maggot Brain had on the music they have written.
