Eddie Floyd, one of the most iconic figures in soul music, will release his first solo album titled Knock On Wood in 1967 and will reach No.1 on the U.S. R&B singles chart with the title single.
The album was recorded at the studios of the legendary Stax label during the second half of 1966.
Another hit from the album was Raise Your Hand, which saw successful covers by artists such as Janis Joplin or Bruce Springsteen.
