Dreamland by Black Box
About the album Dreamland
A group of Italian music producers and DJs formed Black Box in the late '80s and propelled dance music into another dimension through the relentless house rhythm with their debut titled Dreamland.
Martha Wash, an American singer and former member of the Weather Girls, provided vocals for most of the songs, but her name was not listed among the album's credits, leading her to take legal action against Black Box.
Out of the nine tracks on the album, seven were released as singles, with five becoming hugely successful singles (Everybody Everybody, I Don’t Know Anybody Else, Fantasy, Ride On Time, and Strike It Up). As an example, the album's sales reached 400,000 in the UK, 500,000 in the USA, and 200,000 in Canada.
