The Paragons are a legendary band from the ska and rocksteady music scene from Jamaica. They were formed in 1964 and are known for their smooth harmonies and distinctive sound. The original trio consisted of Winston Riley, Howard Barrett, and John Holt, who later embarked on a successful solo career. They rose to prominence through producer Duke Reid and achieved hits like "The Tide Is High" and "On the Beach".
