The Mothers Of Invention

The Mothers Of Invention

Group
The Mothers of Invention were an American rock band, led by and primarily driven by the creative mind of Frank Zappa. Founded in 1964, they are known for their unique approach to rock, combining elements of jazz, contemporary classical music, and avant-garde. The Mothers of Invention released their first album, "Freak Out!", in 1966, which is considered one of the first concept albums in rock music. Their live performances were famous for their humor and eccentricity. The band broke up in 1969, but Zappa continued to use the name periodically for various projects.
