The Go-Go's

The Go-Go's are an American rock band formed in 1978 in Los Angeles. They are primarily known for being the first all-female band that wrote their own songs and played their own instruments, reaching the top of the charts with their debut album "Beauty and the Beat". With hits like "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed", The Go-Go's became pioneers in the new wave music scene and left an indelible mark on the pop culture of the 1980s. The band broke up and reunited several times and in 2021 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
