The Bangles are an American female rock band, formed in 1981 in Los Angeles. The original members were Susanna Hoffs, Vicki Peterson, Debbi Peterson, and Annette Zilinskas, with Michael Steele later joining in place of Zilinskas. The Bangles became known in the 1980s with hits like "Manic Monday," "Walk Like an Egyptian," and "Eternal Flame." Their music combines elements of pop, rock, and new wave and they are known for the melodic harmony of their vocals. The band experienced significant commercial success and remains popular to this day.
