Terence Trent D'Arby

Terence Trent D'Arby, later known as Sananda Maitreya, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born on March 15, 1962, in Manhattan, New York. He became known in the late 1980s with the album "Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby," which included successful tracks like "Wishing Well" and "Sign Your Name." He has released several studio albums and has received recognition for his powerful voice as well as for his unique blend of styles such as soul, rock, pop, and R&B. He later began performing under the name Sananda Maitreya, continuing his career with new musical projects.
