The Taste were formed in Cork, Ireland, with the iconic guitarist and performer Rory Gallagher as their leader, who in 1970 left to pursue a solo career, leading to the dissolution of Taste, after they had managed to record two albums, Taste in 1969 and On The Boards in 1970. The music they played was Blues Rock, with slight influences, however, also from jazz.
