Survivor is an American rock band founded in 1978 in Chicago by guitarist Frankie Sullivan and keyboardist/singer Jim Peterik. They became globally known in 1982 with their hit "Eye of the Tiger," which was the theme song for the movie "Rocky III." Their music combines elements of classic rock and AOR (Album-Oriented Rock). During their career, Survivor has released numerous albums and achieved notable commercial success with other well-known hits such as "Burning Heart," "The Search Is Over," and "High on You." Despite numerous lineup changes, Survivor continues to have an active presence on the music scene, offering their fans their unique rock energy.
