Sun Kil Moon

Sun Kil Moon is the musical project of American songwriter Mark Kozelek. It was created in 2002 after the disbandment of his previous band, Red House Painters. The name Sun Kil Moon was derived from the famous boxer Sun Kil Moon from South Korea. Kozelek is known for his emotional lyrics and the melancholic sound of his music, which mainly falls within the genres of folk rock and indie rock. His discography includes works that have been appreciated both for their lyrical strength and their musical composition, with albums such as "Ghosts of the Great Highway" and "Benji" standing out in particular.
