Suicidal Tendencies is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1980 in Venice, California. They are known for their creation in combining punk, metal, and funk musical elements. The original lineup consisted of singer Mike Muir, who remained the only constant member of the band. The band became particularly popular with the single "Institutionalized" from their self-titled album in 1983 and subsequently released a series of successful albums, such as "Join the Army" (1987) and "Lights... Camera... Revolution!" (1990). Suicidal Tendencies continue to be active in the music scene, evolving their sound and having a significant impact on hardcore music and culture.
