Semisonic

Semisonic is an American alternative rock band formed in Minneapolis in 1995. The core members of the group are Dan Wilson (vocals, guitar), John Munson (bass, vocals), and Jacob Slichter (drums). The band became widely known with their successful single "Closing Time" from the album "Feeling Strangely Fine" in 1998. Semisonic is known for their melodic compositions and sensitive lyrics, and although they officially announced their breakup in 2001, the members have occasionally reunited to create new music.
