Rodríguez

Rodríguez was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born on July 10, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan. He worked primarily in the 1970s and released two albums, "Cold Fact" in 1970 and "Coming from Reality" in 1971, which initially had moderate success in the United States. However, his records gained huge popularity in South Africa and Australia, while he was unaware of its extent for many years. He became more internationally known with the release of the documentary "Searching for Sugar Man" in 2012, which narrates the search and his reappearance. Rodríguez is now considered an important figure in music, known for social and political critique in his lyrics. He passed away on August 8, 2023.
