Rare Earth is an American rock band, formed in 1961. Initially, they were the band The Sunliners, but in 1968 they were renamed to Rare Earth. They are known for their mix of rock, soul, and funk music, as well as for being one of the first white bands to sign with the record label Motown. Some of their most popular tracks include "Get Ready," "I Just Want to Celebrate," and "(I Know) I'm Losing You." Their music career has been marked by influences on various musical genres and maintaining their active presence in the music scene to this day.
