Moby Grape is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1966. They are considered an important part of the city's psychedelic scene and are known for combining elements of rock, blues, folk, and country in their music. Their self-titled album "Moby Grape" from 1967 is considered a classic and includes the well-known tracks "Omaha" and "Hey Grandma". Despite initial commercial failure due to problems with their record label and legal disputes, Moby Grape was later reevaluated for their musical innovation and influence on rock music.
