Herb Alpert

Herb Alpert is an American trumpeter, composer, singer, and producer. He was born on March 31, 1935, in Los Angeles and is mainly known for his leading role in the band Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. His career spans several decades, with many successes both as a solo artist and with his band. He has won numerous awards, including Grammys, and once topped the charts. Together with his business partner, Jerry Moss, he founded the record label A&M Records in 1962, which became one of the most successful independent record companies in history. Alpert continues to be active in the music and philanthropic scene.
