Gerry Rafferty was a Scottish singer-songwriter and musician, best known for his hits "Baker Street" and "Right Down the Line". He was born on April 16, 1947, in Glasgow and began his career with the band Stealers Wheel, achieving success with the track "Stuck in the Middle with You". He pursued a solo career, and his 1978 album "City to City" was hugely successful, propelling him to international fame. The distinctive combination of folk, rock, and pop in his music, as well as his characteristic vocal expression, earned him recognition from listeners around the world. He passed away on January 4, 2011.
