The Free, a band from Great Britain, was formed in 1969 and distinguished itself in the field of Blues Rock. Their contribution to transforming Blues Rock into Hard Rock was pivotal. This happened through albums like Fire And Water in 1970 and Highway of the same year. In January 1973, their last studio album titled Heartbreaker was released. After that, the singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke joined the band Bad Company.
