Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) was an influential British progressive rock band formed in 1970. The group consisted of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (vocals, bass, guitar), and Carl Palmer (drums). Their sound was known for the experimental blending of rock music with elements of classical music and jazz. Some of their most well-known works include the albums "Emerson, Lake & Palmer" (1970), "Tarkus" (1971), and "Brain Salad Surgery" (1973). The band deeply influenced the progressive rock scene and remained active with various line-ups until their disbandment in 2010.
