De La Soul

De La Soul is an American hip hop group, formed in Amityville, New York in 1988. The group members, Posdnuos (Kelvin Mercer), Trugoy the Dove (David Jolicoeur), and Maseo (Vincent Mason), are known for their innovative use of samples and pioneering sound, which contributed to the evolution of alternative hip hop.
