Coolio, born Artis Leon Ivey Jr. on August 1, 1963, was an American rapper, singer, producer, and actor. He became widely known in the 1990s with the iconic song "Gangsta's Paradise," which won a Grammy Award in 1996. He began his career in the early 1990s, releasing his first album, "It Takes a Thief," in 1994. Coolio combined popular and hip-hop elements in his music and left a significant influence on the rap scene. In addition to music, he appeared in many films and television programs until his death in 2022.
