C+C Music Factory was a musical group formed in 1989 by producers and songwriters Robert Clivillés and David Cole. They became famous in the early 1990s with their hits such as "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)", which achieved tremendous global success. The band is known for combining elements of dance, hip hop, and house music, creating distinctive sounds that topped the charts at the time. The music of C+C Music Factory influenced the evolution of dance music and had a significant impact on the music industry of the '90s. Clivillés continued to engage in music production after Cole's death in 1995.
