Boney M. was a German band in the disco music scene that was formed in 1976 by music producer Frank Farian. It consisted of four members: Bobby Farrell, Liz Mitchell, Maizie Williams, and Marcia Barrett. The band became famous for its hits, such as the songs "Rivers of Babylon," "Rasputin," "Daddy Cool," and "Ma Baker." Boney M. stood out for their combination of pop and disco rhythms, as well as their impressive stage performances. They remained popular throughout the 1970s and contributed significantly to the spread of disco music internationally.
