Antonio Carlos Jobim

Antonio Carlos Jobim, also known as Tom Jobim, was a Brazilian composer, pianist, guitarist, and arranger, born on January 25, 1927, in Rio de Janeiro. He is considered one of the most important figures in jazz and bossa nova, significantly contributing to the spread of this music beyond Brazil's borders. Among his most famous works are "Garota de Ipanema," "Desafinado," and "Água de Beber." He collaborated with numerous artists, such as Stan Getz and Frank Sinatra. Jobim passed away on December 8, 1994, leaving behind a great musical legacy.
