British Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe decided to create their own dance music as they felt that the British dance scene did not offer anything special at that time, at the end of the twentieth century.
This is how the duo Basement Jaxx and their first album titled "Remedy" came about. The two of them write the music and invite many to help them with the vocals of the songs. Among them, we hear Monday Michiru, Blue James, and Junior Sanchez.
"Remedy" sold 1,000,000 copies worldwide, which was particularly unexpected for a record with a clear dance orientation. The truth is that all the compositions were characterized by impeccable production.
