Περί του Άλμπουμ Defenders Οf Τhe Faith
Judas Priest have gained momentum and it seems that nothing can stop them. The ninth studio album titled Defenders Of The Faith arrives in 1984 to add yet another triumph to the already successful catalog of albums from the pioneers of the heavy metal sound. This particular album is one of the most complete and flawless heavy metal albums of the 1980s. Songs like Rock Hard Ride Free or Some Heads Are Gonna Roll leave no doubt about who leads the British heavy metal sound.
In Defenders Of The Faith, Rob Halford and his voice are at their peak. Kenneth Downing Jr. and Glenn Tipton put their soul into the guitars, while Ian Hill and Dave Holland on the bass and drums, respectively, come to bind with their playing the whole effort of the rest. On the cover, Judas Priest fans came face to face with Metallian, a figure that was the creation of Doug Johnson.
Defenders Of The Faith reached No. 19 in Great Britain and No. 18 in the United States, where it went platinum as it sold 1,000,000 copies there.
